Righteousness by faith (part 1)

It's my favorite message. The reason I am a Christian today.

You may have seen me share it here before.

It's called Righteousness by faith

But what is it? How can we have it? I mean, we'd all like to be righteous, wouldn't we?

I'm just going to share a few simple notes here, that have inspired & blessed me. Hopefully, if you haven't studied this before, you can make it a springboard to start your own in-depth study on the subject.

First off, I'd like to point out a fact. When Adam & Eve sinned, they brought the entire race under the dominion of the enemy.

And there are only two powers in this universe. The power of God, and the power of the enemy.

Christ died, to save us from the power of the enemy. But He will never force us to choose His power. We must choose.

And so there are millions of Christians in the world. And they try. Desperately. To live for Christ. And,(much of the time) they fail.

Why?

Because so many of them are trying to serve God, with the power of the enemy. It won't ever work.

This is where Righteousness by faith comes in. And oh, what an exciting blessing. We don't have to be under the power of the enemy. Because if Christ is King in us, and our lives are a part of His Kingdom...

And Christ is much mightier than the enemy...

Satan does not stand a chance. Not a chance.

But I won't get ahead of myself. I have lot's more that has been shared with me, that I want to share. But that'll be the next post (or several).

It suffices to say for now, that the mightiest power in the universe is God. And He can live in you.

Let Him.

  1. This is such a beautiful message! Whenever Peter and the disciples were out fishing before Jesus called them, they had fished all night and had caught a single fish, but when Jesus came and they cast the net toward Him the results were remarkable. It shows that the recipe to success in witnessing is, Divine Power + Human Effort = Success in soul winning! Thanks for sharing, Schane!
