Imagine this.
An American soldier is trapped behind enemy lines. There’s
no way out.
The enemy is starting to surround him, sure of their
victory. It won’t be long now, and he’ll be removed from among men…
But there’s one thing left in the equation. His radio. He
still has one link with his powerful leader.
Minutes later, the enemy is fleeing for their lives,
scattered easily by the most powerful military in the world.
All in answer to a simple, weak call for help.
Alone, he was quite helpless. There was no way he was coming
out of this alive. But a simple call for help changed everything…
Now, change gears.
A Christian feels trapped. The enemy is surrounding them.
There seems to be no way out…
And the enemy is laughing as he makes his final assault. He
knows well that his victim is incapable of resisting his force alone.
But there’s one thing left in the equation…
This Christian calls for help.
They know they are weak. Incapable of resisting the advances
of the enemy.
But they call on the most powerful military in the universe,
and that call will not be ignored.
You guessed it. Enemy flees for his life, screaming in
terror.
Why do we refuse to call for help? It’s only a call away.
The enemy fears us not.
But he won’t dare challenge our Master.
"Nothing is apparently more helpless, yet really more invincible, than the soul that feels its nothingness, and relies wholly on God." PK 174
